myasperations 4-15-24

I acquired this fun digi and front sentiment from the QKR/Eureka Challenge where I served as a DT for several years. (Sadly, the challenge is no longer being offered as the owner  is looking for a buyer of their wonderful lines. I do hope they find one soon as they offered so many great rubber, clear and digital images.)  The inside sentiment is from a WeAre3 digi set. (Sadly, I recently discovered that owner Bonnie Kohane closed her WeAre3 Etsy shop last November. I was happy to see that she hosts a FB page, Bonnie Kohane Craft Timewhere she offers a weekly freebie… plus provides a friendly and supportive place to “meet”! I am now a regular visitor!)
I’m entering this card into several challenges including Outlawz Tuesday Color Wheel (although a bit more pastel in tone, this card includes several colors from both the top and bottom of the color wheel), Park Hopping-My Happy Place (I used the wonderful “inspiration” listing that sponsor Makira provides, and found that my card fits into one fun ride named  Egg-spress  at Pleasurewood Hills Park, Suffolk, UK)

Supplies:

·   Instructions for Z-fold card can be found HERE.

·   Digi- Eureka Digital Stamp (Front and Back Ducky) (Currently Not Available)

·   Colored with Spectrum Noir Classique markers and Sakura Gelly Roll white gel pen

·   Front Sentiment “Spring is Just Ducky”- Eureka Digital Stamp (Ducky) (Currently Not Available)

This is my first entry into the Butterfly Challenge, one of my favs! The current challenge features a technique that I don’t make very often because I’ve found it to be tedious and messy- Shaker cards. Well… the Butterfly Challenge sponsor, Mrs. A, has changed all that! She provides instructions for making shaker cards that go together quickly and easily! (You can find details HERE!)
My card features four of the Colors-Electric Yellow, Elegant Rose, Emerald, and Eucalyptus, plus all of the themes- Edge to Edge shaker card, Embossing folder (dotted EF on yellow paper), Embellishments (flower sequins on sentiment) and Butterflies.

STAMPlorations is a wonderful family-owned business, and I’ve enjoyed using their stamps, digis, and other products for several years. For this card I used a yummy hot-chocolate filled mug from one of their pre-colored Winter Mugs from the “paper goods” section of the shop. Added to a few related sentiments, plus “chocolate kiss” fingerprints this makes a really sweet card. Get it? Ha!
(An added note, STAMPlorations artist/owner Shery Russ was diagnosed with Stage 4 metastatic breast cancer a few years ago. You  can read about her journey HERE. Her shop has remained open… in a limited capacity. I just checked, and although the mug I used on my card is not currently available, Shery notes that she is working to get the office machines and equipment up and running so they can be offered again. The site notes that Stamps (clear and digtal) and Dies are available again. They ship worldwide and there is currently a 10% discount on all orders, instantly applied on checkout. So you might want to stop by her shop and check it out!)

I am honored to have served as a Guest Designer for Beccy Muir at Beccy’s Place and am now one of her “Contributors” (which means that she provides me with digis or clear stamp sets several times a year and I get to create cards or other items with them!) It is always fun to see the images Beccy invites me to use and this time my card features Beccy’s new sets named Goat Club. I used a pre-colored digi (mainly because Beccy’s coloring is always stellar) plus  2 sentiments from the set.  (I knew that I wanted to create a Father’s Day card with this set, so created a computer generated sentiment for the front the card that helped in that task.)
I love that Beccy names the characters that she creates, and this adorable Kid is named “Tator”!  (I think that is the cutest name EVAH!!)
I’m entering this card into several challenges including Outlawz Monday Greeting Challenge: Love and Friendship (It is easy to see that this excited “kid” loves his old GOAT!)

Supplies:

·   Precolored Digi and Inside Sentiments- Beccy’s Place Digi Set (Goat Club )

·   Swirly texture on little Kid added with Sakura Gelly Roll white gel pen

·   Front Sentiment- Computer Generated

·   All other items from my stash.

I had fun making Easter and Spring cards this year, especially using this sweet little fluffy duck from a Beccy’s Place digi set. For this card, I created a fun backdrop for the little cutie with a free background subway art and delicate little gem butterfly and flower stickers.
I’m entering this card into several challenges including Outlawz Tuesday Color Wheel (although a bit more pastel in tone, this card includes 6 of the 8 colors on the wheel), Park Hopping-My Happy Place (I used the wonderful “inspiration” listing that sponsor Makira provides, and found that my card fits into one fun ride named  Egg-spress  at Pleasurewood Hills Park, Suffolk, UK) and Outlawz Sunday "Happy Easter" poem (my card reflects the line "May your Easter be happy" because the little duck just exudes happiness!)
Supplies:

·   Digi- from a Beccy’s Place Digi Set (Easter Joy)

·   Colored with Spectrum Noir Classique markers and Sakura Gelly Roll white gel pen

·   Subway Art- Freebie from TLC Creations (April Subway Art)

I wanted to enter one more card into the ABC Christmas Challenge before the current one closes. The instructions for making a Faux Envelope card provided me with a perfect way to meet the ‘F is for Faux' prompt. And it was fun to use so many items from my stash to create an unusual card!
Supplies:

·   “Dear Santa” papers- found at Goodwill Store years ago

·   Instructions for making a Fax Envelope Card found HERE

·   Front Sentiment- “Thinking of You at Christmas” sentiment- from a Beccy’s Place Digi Set (Christmas Cardinals)

myasperations 4-2-24a

This is my final entry into the current Butterfly Challenge, one of my favs! The current challenge features a technique that I haven’t used in some time, Decoupage (3D). I forgot that I enjoyed this technique so much… mainly because it requires lots of fussy-cutting (which I find relaxing!) The beautiful pre-colored floral digi (I think they might be peonies?) is from one of my favorite FB sites for free digis that provides dozens... no more like hundreds… of free sentiments and digis every month. You can visit the site here  TLC Creates Vintage and join to gain access to all the wonderful digis that Paulette offers!
My card features four of the Colors- Dusky Pink, Dark Green, Daffodill, Dairy  Cream, plus three of the themes: Decoupage (flowers), Diamonds (gems), and Butterflies.

Supplies:

·   Pre-colored Digi is from a monthly freebie set of Junk Journal items (March Folio Challenge)   Check to see if still available!

·   Front sentiment is a freebie from TlcCreations (Search HERE to see if it’s still available)

·   Butterflies - freebies from a gorgeous Scrapbooking website HERE.

·   All other items from my stash.

For this card, I used a wonderful wood mount Baby Jesus stamp that I’ve had in my stash since the late ’90s. I embossed the stamped image with silver EP on a silver circle tag (also from my stash) and added a bit of color contrast and bling with assorted paper scraps. A few sentiments and the card is ready to add to the packets of all occasion cards I create to give as wedding gifts this Spring and Summer!

Supplies:

·   Wood Mount Stamp- Denami Designs “Baby Jesus” (retired but have seen on EBay)

·   Front Sentiment- “Christmas Love” freebie from LoveSVG (Sign up for their newsletter to get this freebie HERE.]

I’m entering this card into several challenges including Outlawz: Color Wheel (My card features 2 colors from the top of the wheel- blue and green, and 2 from the bottom- red and yellow) and the Park Hopping challenge which has become a favorite as I've learned so much about theme parks across the world. This card reflects one here in the USA that I'd like to visit someday. It is named Santa’s Village and it features Christmas fun all year round!
